Why I haven't had a life for the last two weekends . . .

Here's why I have been getting up early on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

A lot of sewing . . .

And a lot of paper crafting (is that what making invitations from scratch is called??) . . .

A couple weekends ago Mama and I spent a crazy Saturday hunting down this fabric:

Who knew everyone and their mother was into green toile besides us?? We went to three different fabric stores, one all the way out in CR (a little road trip for us), just to round up enough of the stuff. Here is how the story ended: two women in an SUV with a new touch screen phone and GPS that we didn't know how to work = we got lost!! What a night!

Here is what transpired the next morning and the rest of the day . . . .
Preppy "Wild Cat" decided she would join us.

Mama spent an afternoon ironing . . .
And I learned to sew! Yay!

The weekend after that was dedicated to paper and putting together our invitations.

We were prepared for a looonngg weekend as you can see. Yum, Sloppy Joe fixin's and Puppy Chow! So much for that dress fitting coming up! :)

Everybody pitched in.

Even FOTB had fun "scrapbooking" with us! He was actually a BIG help and designed part of the invitation :)

We also had some assistance from my Nana and Aunt and Uncle L (PS- Uncle L totally got into it!)
We had so much paper stuff going on we needed a map!

Here's to another weekend of rolling out of bed, hair in a pony and headband! But it's all been worth it :)H

Oh my!

This wedding is sure creeping up on me!

This last weekend Mama and I were on a mission to creat pretty homemade invitations. At first we wound up here:

Oops, they definately did not have the paper we were looking for! We thought we had gone here:

The nice boy at the store pointed us in the right direction and when we walked in, were we relieved! There were isles of coordinated papers, envelopes in all shapes and sizes, and any number of card making accessories!

The Paper Depot was great! You gather your paper and envelopes in the colors you want and take it all up to the counter where they put together a mock up for you. Then you just tell them how many you want to make and they will calculate out how much you need, gather it all together for you, and send you on your way! Yay :)

Next, there will be a weekend with plenty of this:

where we will have to get up early to actually put all these together!

Can't wait to send one out to you!
